Drea Bjornson Haire

Drea has called Austin home since 2007 and loves living in Texas—although she arrived unconventionally by way of Canada and South Florida. Since her legal career began in 2012, she has practiced in both small firm settings and in large institutional environments—specializing in fiduciary trust administration and estate settlement for a number of years.

Since opening her own practice in 2017, Drea has enjoyed focusing her efforts on assisting clients in the areas of estate planning and probate. Untangling urgent problems and helping clients find certainty in the future is the most enjoyable part of legal practice for her.

Drea graduated with honors from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida in 2006 and received her law degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio in 2012. She has been licensed to practice law in Texas since November of 2012 and has been certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in the areas of probate and estate planning since 2022.

Over the years, Drea has worked with various non-profit organizations in Austin, including the Austin Humane Society, Love-A-Bull, and Austin Pets Alive! In her personal time, Drea enjoys RV camping with her husband, daughter, and dog. Whenever possible, she can be found reading a good book, tending to her backyard chickens, or practicing her beekeeping skills.

Amy Lefkowitz

Attorney at Law

In her years of practicing law, Amy has focused on criminal defense and probate law. She began her own practice in July 2013 and would love to help you with your legal needs in her areas of practice.

Amy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Huston-Tillotson College (now University) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She worked in the field of pharmaceutical research for five years before starting law school in 2009. Amy graduated with her law degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio in 2011 and was licensed to practice law in May 2012. Moreover, she has been voted Top Attorney in Austin Monthly Magazine (2020, 2021, 2022).

Amy Lefkowitz grew up in Lubbock, TX. Amy and her husband Michael (Lefty), a musician, have lived in Austin since 1999. Prior to pursuing academia, Amy worked for many years in the restaurant and entertainment businesses. In addition to living in Lubbock, Amy has called Norman, Nashville, Scottsdale, and Los Angeles home.

Daniela Ritchie

Paralegal

Daniela was raised in Austin, Texas. She earned a B.A. in Journalism from Texas Tech University before obtaining her paralegal certification at Southeastern Paralegal Institute in Dallas. For many years, Daniela lived in Dallas and focused her career on the area of civil litigation. She supported attorneys at prestigious boutique law firms and later a large international law firm. After moving back to Austin in 2011, a colleague introduced Daniela to probate law, and she has never looked back.

In her downtime, Daniela enjoys spending time with her husband and rescue dogs, traveling, taking group fitness classes and baking (hence the need for group fitness classes).

Courtney Yoakum

Executive Administrative Assistant

Courtney Yoakum has been an Austin resident for about 20 years. Originally from Katy, Texas, she spent 10 years managing Bars and Restaurants and has an Associates of Arts degree from Austin Community College. Courtney provides high-level support to the partners, acting as a strategic planner by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, handling correspondence and preparing reports with an emphasis on managing confidential information. She has a passion for helping people and will make sure your matter is handled with effiency and care.
